PAROS- STAY FOR LESS "EURO"

PAROS is in the Greek Cyclade Islands & a main Ferry Hub, 4 hours South of Athens on mainland Greece . Its Capital & Main Port PARIKIA is a pretty Town & quiet during the Winter period between October & April when most places are closed but a few places do remain open to serve the trickle of visitors, including GB, who arrive.

FOOD for snacks, fresh fruit & bottled water is readily available at the well-stocked Ataavtik Supermarket on the Waterfront. Also the Apostolis Sea Food Restaurant, near the Apollon, is good for meals & open in Winter.

TRAVELLING AROUND by the Island Busses in Winter is slow with the limited timetable so you have to visit the Central Bus Station, next to the Ferry Landings to check the routes & times, especially the return trips. The Buses will get you to Marithi, Naossa & Lefkes (below) but other forms of transport are available for more remote locations from hire cares (good to share) dune buggies, quad bikes, scooters & pedal bikes – take your pick!
