ADELAIDE
(SA) was built as a speculation around 1836 in the new
colony of South Australia, no criminals here. But it nearly failed
& had to be bailed out by the British Government. It‘s
a solid, yet gracious agreeable City with the centre laid out on
a grid with several squares. Mainly built of stone the City stands
on the banks of the Torrens River surrounded by green parklands
& bounded by the hills of the Mount Lofty Ranges which crowd
it against the sea.
