LEARNING SUPPORT STAFF |

| Learning Support Staff from Woodlands, De La Salle and Sweyne Park spent the day examining various aspects of the roles of supporting pupils.
Ideas and good practice were shared and new links forged which we hope will develop in the future. The programme covered the following topics;
- The Key Stage 3 strategy
- Implications for supporting literacy and numeracy (delivered by Pete Gibbon)
- Behavior Management and supporting pupils on the Autistic Spectrum and with ADD and ADHD (delivered by Steph Garner and June Morgan)
- The role of the Learning Support Assistant (delivered by Bernadette Fisher)
- The developing career routes for higher level teaching assistants (delivered by June Morgan)
